Rock beats Scissors. It's a physical thing, smashing their edges blunt. Rock is strong. Rock is rigid in its outlook - anything goes except Paper. Paper wraps Rock. Paper's there to get in the way, to slow things down. Rock can't handle the Rap Sheet Paper can lay on him. Paper is control. Paper is flexible; it will turn any way it can to wrap you up in its embrace. Scissors cut Paper. Paper tries to lay its hands on the sharp, it gets cut. Scissors know they can beat paper by its rules, but Rock doesn't play by the rules, and just beats them down. Scissors is resentful, a little, because the know they can top Paper, but Rock gets them every time. So, Scissors is a little nervous one day when he opens his door to a knock that turns out to be Rock. Ready to bolt, he casts a nervous glace around, hoping that there might be an agent of Paper about to deal with Rock. But there's none in sight, and he cringes. "Relax," says Rock. "I just want to talk." Rock invites himself in. Over cups of coffee, Scissors slowly relaxes, and Rock makes his pitch. Rock doesn't like Paper much, and Scissors has the wherewithall to deal with him. Rock's here to make peace, even though he could destroy Scissors if no Paper looked in. Rock's offering some of his wealth, and his friendship, for Scissors' help. The eternal dance could be ended right here. Rock looks at Scissors expectantly; Scissors, at the window, draws the curtains in a conspirative fashion. Rock smiles, taking this as a positive sign, but as he turns back the look on Scissors' face is not positive at all. "Let me show you a little something I learned from Paper..." Rock's screams were brief. -Mickey It's good to be sharp.
